The Challenge
Children’s Wish Foundation BC & Yukon was seeking to reinvent their longstanding Exile Island team-based fundraiser. Teams had typically gathered monies offline and most struggled to reach their $10,000 goal, which was the average cost of a Wish to a child with life-threatening illness.
The Plan
Build a customized and engaging Change Heroes platform designed for teams to raise $10,000. The platform would act as a rallying point for corporate teams to strengthen their ties to their unique Wish Kid and to the organization as a whole.
An ambitious target of $100,000 was set, near double their 2014 numbers.
Change Heroes would be utilized as a tool for working closely with teams through video recording parties (pizza lunches at local offices), team-based webinars, regular check-in calls, and by including their very Wish Kid in their videos. Come event day, all participants would be highly aligned with the cause and their impact.
Change Heroes leverages the power of relationships. Remember, people give to people. Personal videos are a point of connection and Change Heroes makes this easy through digital storytelling and one-click donations.
